God Loves You Part 5 : Are you Loving God today?

Well today marks the ~~first~~ second day of February {meant to post this yesterday}!!! I can’t believe how fast this year is going already. As we all know this is the month of Love….this is a time where we get to express our love towards others even more. And there are so many challenges going on out there that I will be posting soon! I love challenges, they encourage me to drawer closer to my Lord and to my family.

With that here is my challenge for You: Ask yourself this question today “ Are you loving the Lord?” I pondered this question last night, I had heard it earlier at service or on the radio or saw it some where {I have a horrible memory sometimes}. And it is a great question to ask yourself daily.

The first commandment He gives us is to “Love the Lord your God with all Your heart, soul, and strength”. Are you loving God today?

Then one of them, a lawyer, asked Him a question, testing Him, and saying, 36 "Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?" 37 Jesus said to him, "'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.' 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like it: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'

Matt 22:35-39

Love God Challenge: Pursue God today, tell Him how much you love Him. Act of love towards God: worship, prayer, thankfulness, spreading the gospel. Doing all in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. If you haven’t done so already, carve out that time today, curl up on the coach, bed wherever you are turn off the cell phone, computer, tv…whatever distracts you from Him. And just give Him that special time, curl up on His lap and just bask in His presence be open to what He has for you. Allow your heart to be changed by Him.

Next Challenge: And the second is like it: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” …..to be continued.

I love this song!! God's not dead He's surely alive, living on the inside roaring like a lion!!! We have nothing to be down about, God is residing in us. He is posted up; put up His tent there. This morning the Lord spoke to me with this verse:

And by this we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before Him. For if our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and knows all things. Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence toward God. Who are you going to turn to?

Who are you going to turn to in your decision, your inconveinence, or your trial today? I recently had a big decision we needed to make and we choose to turn to Jesus. He is the only one who can give us the true answers we need in our lives. He already knows what lies ahead of us. Why wouldn't you want to turn to Him? The Author and Finisher of us.

I wanted to share this song with you, I love it. And it was perfect timing this morning, I was on my way to work I had something on my heart that I recently gone through. And I will share as the Lord leads, and this song just ministered to my heart. It was something my heart was already singing!!!

Turn to Jesus today with all your cares and your worries. Give it all to Him, let him take the wheel today! Will you let him rule and reign in your life today?

God Loves You - Part 4: Be a Voice - The Dignity of Human Life

This Sunday, January 22, is Sanctity of Human Life Sunday. Together, let's be a voice for the preborn child! And not only them but also for those people that have been treated unGodly. The homeless, the battered, the bruised, the disowned, the unwanted, the orphans, just to name a few. There are so many in this world who need a touch of God's love! Be that light, in this dark and dying world, show His love to them....allow God to use you.

WE can be their voice for them!! You matter to God, and He loves you so much! I can't even begin to explain how much HE loves you. Let's just say that He loves you soo much that He gave His only Son JESUS to die, such a crucial death {that you wouldn't even do yourself or for anyone else for that matter}, on that old rugged cross.......all because HE LOVES you! You see God doesn't look at our status, at what we wear or what we have, that doesn't even matter to Him, none of it does. You matter to God, He wants you He looks and wants your heart!

If you feel all alone, feel like nobody loves you? Don't....because I've got some great, amazing, awesome news for you.....God loves you no matter what!!! There are no strings attached, no requirements, no membership fees, no fancy invitations. It's simple...He loves You! All you have to do is accept that, allow Him to have full access to Your heart. If you have never accepted Him in your heart and would like to please leave me a comment so that I can pray with you.

P.S. I challenge you to go out and save a life, go out andshare God's love with someone that you never have before.....it sometimes just starts with a smile :) We all have something to smile about today because we are LOVED!!

God Love's you...Part 1

Love...more than a good feeling. The Lord has laid it on my heart to share about His love for you these next couple of weeks. He confirmed in a prayer gathering I had went to recently. Prayer is sooo powerful!

This is what He showed me to share, I pray that it blesses you as it did me.

The Outworking of love

16 By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. 17 But whoever has this world's goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him? 18 My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.

I John 3:16-18

Throughout the bible we are reminded of God's love for us and the proof of God's boundless love is that Christ died for us. Love is not simply made to make us feel good--rather to motivate us to respond in ways that make us emulate the goodness. Love sometimes demands that we act in very practical and even uncomfortable ways.

Love is not optional, we are commanded love one another.

Love is demonstrative , our love for God is shown to the degree we show love to others.

Love is active, an act of the will. We are commanded to do the acts of love. If we shut our eyes to the needs of others, our love for God is called into question.

Love is responsive, we are able to love because we have been and are loved by God. this love causes us to respond lovingly to others.

The world makes love out to be something that is a feeling. In the scriptures we are shown what true love is--scrafical love, agape love. Jesus showed His true love for us. By dieing on the cross for our sins. He laid down His life for me and for You. He commands us to love, this can sometimes be difficult. But if we show others what He has done for us we can do it in His strength. If we are keeping record of each others shortcomings then are you emulating God's love?

God doesn't keep record of our short comings, He says that He will forgive us of our sins as far as the east is from the west. This is an example of His love toward us and of what we need to do.

We love Him because He first loved us.

1 John 4:19 NKJV

He first loved us, and when we experience His love toward us it draws us to Him and how could you not love Him. It blows my mind to think of How much He loves me and you. If he cares so much for the sparrows, the birds of the air, how much more does He care for us. There have been so many blessings that I have encountered and was blessed to see of how much He loves us. God desires us to follow hard after Him. Show Gods love today! Know that He loves you and that is enough for me to emulate His love to others.
