Thanksgiving Already!

Wow!! I can't believe that it's Thanksgiving time already, can you? It seemed like just last month it was Christmas. I know sometimes we can get all caught up with the baking of pies and turkey and all the fixings. But let us not forget the true meaning of thanksgiving. Here are a few verses to reflect upon and meditate why we are truely thankful.

"Oh, that men would give thanks to the LORD for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the children of men!" Psalm 107:8 nkjv

"It is a time of deep thanksgiving to the Lordfor blessing you with a good harvest and in so many other ways; it shall be a time of great joy." Deuteronomy 16:15b tlb

" it is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord." Psalm 92:1a

" We thank You, O God! We give thanks because You are near." Psalm 75:1a nlt

"Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, And His truth endures to all generations" Psalm 100:4-5

"giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ." Eph 5:20

"in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you." I Thessalonians 5:18

"Therefore I will give thanks to You, O Lord, among the Gentiles, And sing praises to Your name. Psalm 18:49

"I will give You thanks in the great assembly; I will praise You among many people." Psalm 35:18

These are just a few verses that talk about giving thanks to the Lord. So as we prepare our thanksgiving meal don't forget to thank Him for all He has done in your life. Thank you Lord, for sending your Son, Jesus Christ, to die on that cross for our sins. Thank you for your grace, mercy, forgiveness and love.

Target Tip!!

Ok, so as I was skeeming through the target advertisments this week, I saw a little tip on there. It said " Get $.05 off your shopping trip for every reusable bag you bring in!! Wow, you get paid for bringing in your resusable bag. Now it may not sound like much but lets say you use 5 bags, you save $.25 off your order and if you use coupons with that. Pumpkin Devotional

Wow...it's been awhile since I posted. So much has happened. But first, I wanted to share this pumpkin devotion that I do with my family every year. It's an alternative to just only carving a pumpkin. I love this idea and the kids love it. It teaches the gospel. It's a great tool to share with the unsaved, maybe your neighbors, kids friends from school and your unsaved family members. So here it goes....


START CARVING

And then start talking about how..........
We become a new creation when Jesus comes into our heart.

#2 Revelations 3:20
How is the stuff we pull out of the pumpkin like sin in our hearts?
(both yucky, they're inside us, sticky and smelly)

How is the way we cleaned out our pumpkin like the way Jesus cleans us
out when we confess our sins?
(All the yucky stuff is taken away)

Worth It All!

This is an awesome song. It talks about how we don't understand Gods ways. But it's going to be worth it all. We go threw so much not knowing why, but the Lord knows why for His Glory!! We don't know need to know why right now, He will give us all those answers in Heaven with Him. I pray that in your trials, when you are not understanding His ways, may you find comfort in knowing that He is right there with you, pulling you closer to Him, know that it's going to be worth it All, everything, all your hurts, all your pains, all your sorrows. Just follow Him, trust in Him, don't worry about anything, He will take care of it for you. Surender it to Him. If you have fear know that is not of the Lord. Where does fear come from? Fear comes from a precieved threat to your wellbeing, this comes when we have a predetermined notion. Fear comes from owning our own life. Absence of fear comes from when we surrender to God. Fear comes when we don't want to go through trials and not willing to surrender our lifes to God. Fear comes from an unsurrendered life. Wow, that statement hit me, last week or 2 Sundays ago. I feared all my life up until that point. I didn't understand why I feared I just feared, all the time. The Lord showed me that I have an unsurrendered life. Wow...all this time I thought I surrendered it to Him. But praise be to God that He reveals those things in our life. Surrender your life and say "I am yours Lord". God allows you to go through trials because he knows that we would be faithful to Him, when we surrender to Him we have freedom. There is freedom. AMEN!! God will never leave nor forsake us..~Hebrews 13:5. If God were to take away all of your possessions would you still love Him? God desires that you not live in fear. Do not be afraid. God doesn't want his children to live in fear. May the Lord bless you, if you fear ask God to remove that fear with His love. God Bless you all. Be blessed by this video.

To Not Judge Others

As I was reading thru the word today it spoke about Judging in Matt 7. It reminded me and also convicted me. So usually after I read I workout out to Faithful Workouts. and at the end of the workout, when we are cooling down doing stretchs, she always has some encouragement. So today guess what her encouragement was "To not Judge", exactly what I read about not 1/2 hour before in Matt 7. God is soo good, how he works in us and shows us. So do you think the Lord is speaking to me or what? Yes.....I totally do. So this is what she said and it really ministered to my heart, because I constantly am struggling with this issue at work, with family members and others around me. So I was encouraged to share with you.

Too often we look at things that people do and judge them solely by that action. (I'm totally guilty of that.) Henry Wiseman Longfellow said " If we could read the secrets of our enemies, the secret life that they've had that we don't know about, we would probably find so much sorrow that would explain their actions. And if we knew about what was going on in their lives it would disarm all hostility...."if we knew the secrets it would disarm all hostility!! Wow...that would help me out greatly, but we don't and God does and thats where we get our strength. I want you to try something today. When you need to interact with someone today who is really irritating (co-workers, people on the road, cashiers, teachers, your family, etc..) Ask yourself what maybe went wrong in their life, what happened and hopefully then you would not be judging them. Because of Matt 7, ."Judge not, that you be not judged.For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.And why do you look at the speck in your brother's eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye?Or how can you say to your brother, 'Let me remove the speck from your eye'; and look, a plank is in your own eye? Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye.Do not give what is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you in pieces.

Be ministered today, it's not easy being a Christian. But with God all things are possible (Mark 10:27) and we can do all things through Christ Jesus who strengthens us (Phil 4:13).

God Loves You!!!

So last night was an awesome communion service!! I was so touched by it and was reminded how much God loves us. I wanted to share a few things, from my notes that I take during service, that ministered to my heart that I wanted to share with you and pray that they minister to you as they did me.

Jude 1:24-25
~God is ABLE
~God is able to meet whatever short fall he has in your entire life.
~He has all resources at his finger tips. We don't need to worry about anything.
~WE need to release everything in our lives to Him, Who is able, Hiis arems are wide stretched for you!!
~He is able to handle your problems
~There is no circumstance to difficult for him.
~Trust in Him fully and completely
~HE guardes us, for safe conduct and safety
~He is able to keep you from falling if you listen to His voice!
~God is able to present us faultless (without blemish...is that amazing)
~I thought it was amazing about how Pastor John was talking about the Glory of God, how if we are even to look at Him now, we could not. But when we get to Heaven we will get new eyes to behold God and that will totally awesome!! that blows my mind.
~WE should always be ready to give a reason of our hope!Be ready in season and out of season (Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. 2 Tim 4:2)
~God Delights in you!
~You will not ever dissapoint God!! (PRaise you Jesus-I totally thought I was this whole time, this was a relief for me...whew)Your not going to surprise Him, He already knows what your going to do and so He loves you with an absolute pure Love. AMAZING!!
~His love is not predicated on performance
~He loves you when your failing, when your struggling, He loves you...He alone is our savior!!
~God is Glory!!
~Everything is under Gods control, EVERYTHING!! Nothing happens outside His will.
~Gods plan is unveiling exactly as He planned and He knew it would. Isa 46:9-10
~There is grace available for you!
~Flow with God, don't fight Him, stay in His current, Yeild to Him. I promise there are blessings waiting to be had!

Revelation Song

I was totally blessed by this song tonight in worship I had to share. I know this is sung by Phillips Craig and Dean, but this video was a little more powerful. Worthy is the lamb who was slain, for our sins. Thank you that we can sing a new song, that we are a new creation in you Lord!! Thank you for all you've done, are doing, and will do in my life. Lord it is hard being on this surgery table and it hurts. But....Lord I know in the end will be victory. So chisel away, I'm willing and ready. Take full and total control of my life. I'm done driving, Jesus take the wheel, please!! I don't know how to drive. I never really did know. Thank you Jesus for taking your life for mine, even when we don't deserve it. Thank you also that I was soooo blessed to hear my brother sing your songs. One day I will share his testimony, God is still working on his testimony.
